About the event

Most manufacturing companies today are trying to catch up with digitalization trends and transform themselves to handle technology revolution needs amidst complex business challenges. They are in the Industry 4.0 evolution. Some companies managed to navigate this quite well and are beginning to think and transition to Industry 5.0.

The transition to Industry 5.0 will be complemented by Industry 4.0 efforts. However, for both evolutions, there is a need for great deal of leadership agility and radical business strategies.

In this talk, participants will hear real stories about how agile ways of working have helped industries navigate the complexity involved and produce better business outcomes. The talk specifically focuses on the Leadership Agility needed and an effective approach toward business strategy. It also demystifies the cultural transition needed to shape the new organizational design required to implement the radical aspects of Industry 5.0 business strategy. The speakers will be sharing the learnings from their coaching experience in manufacturing companies from various domains like Energy Management, Industrial Automation, Video Technologies, and Healthcare Technologies that are embarking on digitalization.

About the Speakers Jayaprakash Puttaswamy (often called as JP) is engaged with agile ways of working and coaching teams and leadership for more than 20 years (started with XP in 2003). He has co-facilitated workshops with Rashmi Fernandes in the past about leading large-scale agile transformation in various domains including hardware business. JP has coached business leaders, mid-management and technical leaders in large-scale transformation engagements in companies like Tesco, GE Healthcare, McKinsey & Company, Target, Cisco, Siemens, Schneider Electric, PayPal, etc..from the last 14 years. JP's mission is to help leaders lead their personal transformation and co-create transformational journeys for their teams and organizations.

Rashmi Fernandes (the co-facilitator) is engaged with agile ways of working and coaching teams and leadership for more than 8 years (started with Scrum in 2015). She has co-facilitated workshops with JP in the past about leading large-scale agile transformation in various domains including hardware business. Rashmi has trained and coached business leaders, mid-management and technical leaders in large-scale transformation engagements in companies like Target, Swiss Re, Advance Auto parts, TVS, Jagriti InnoTech, Schneider Electric from the last 7 years. She is passionate about Women Leadership and has authored various articles, spoken in various forums at Phillips, TVS, Jagriti, ALJ on Women Leadership topics. She has also authored the book, "Leading with a Cognitive Edge" (available on Amazon Kindle). Rashmi's mission is to make a difference to as many lives as possible by building their agility in the way they think and act. She believes in the potential of every human being and that her coaching can enable them to become better versions of themselves.
